CoD League Major I announces Mountain Dew partnership

Mountain Dew joins as the presenting sponsor

Beverage brand Mountain Dew has signed a partnership with North American esports company Envy Gaming. The partnership will see Mountain Dew join as the presenting sponsor of the Call of Duty League Major I.

Mountain Dew will also sponsor a special fan zone called the MTN Dew Spark Zone among other activations. Mountain Dew has been a partner of OpTic Gaming since 2018, and last year, Envy Gaming merged with OpTic Gaming. The merger now sees both firms operate under a joint brand.
The upcoming Call of Duty League will be the sport’s first major event and will see all the 12 franchises (Atlanta FaZe, London Royal Ravens, Los Angeles Thieves, OpTic Texas, Seattle Surge, Toronto Ultra, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Boston Breach, Florida Mutineers, Minnesota RØKKR, New York Subliners and Paris Legion) compete.

The Call of Duty League Major I will be held in partnership with Razer, who will be providing ‘gaming pods’ for the audiences to compete in. Controller manufacturer Scuf will create a ‘legacy hall’ at the entrance to the Arlington venue, where the event will be held. Aside from Mountain Dew, Scuf, and Razer, FPS training platform Aim Lab is also on board as a sponsor.
The event is scheduled to be hosted from March 3–6, 2022, at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
