This is the final Round of 32 fixture to be played between Columbia and Ghana as either team would look to book their place in the Round of 16 on 3rd July at the Kansas City Stadium in USA.

For the game, here we present our preview and prediction.

FIFA WC26 | Ro32: COL vs GHA | 07:00 IST, July 4, 2026

Columbia went unbeaten through their group to become table toppers and qualified for the RO32 after their second game only. Columbia’s final game with Portugal ended in a stalemate. While Luis Díaz, James Rodriguez and Daniel Muñoz have been the heroes upfront for Columbia, Camilo Vargas has been impenetrable in the backline. Their defence has provided the required solidity, conceding only one goal in three group games.

As for Ghana, they played in a group with England and Croatia and still managed to qualify as the third team. With a win against Panama and a hard-earned draw against England, even after losing narrowly to Croatia, Ghana secured the knockout qualification with four points. The Black Stars have defended well and only conceded two goals in their three group games. Antoine Semenyo, Thomas Partey and goalkeeper Benjamin Asare have been the standout players for Ghana at this World Cup so far.

While Columbia has everyone available, Ghana could miss Jeremy Opoku due to physical discomfort for this game.

La Tricolor have looked great so far, they possess the attacking flair upfront, the control in midfield and defensive solidity in the backline which makes them a well-balanced side. The only thing they could work on is their finishing as even though they create a lot of chances, they haven’t been as clinical. Ghana’s weakness lies in their ability to create chances and score goals. They showed their compactness and defensive strength against England but they are heavily reliant on Semenyo and Jordan Ayew for providing the assists and goals. Moreover, if we look at the two teams, Columbia holds an edge with a superior squad with more technical players.

We believe Ghana will deploy the same low-block tactics against Columbia as they did against England and try to hit them on the counter. However, Columbia does have the attacking flair to breach the Ghanaian defence and we believe they should win this comfortably and secure the Round of 16 qualification.

Score Prediction: Columbia 2–0 Ghana
Venue: Kansas City Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri, USA
