Consell de Mallorca extends on naming rights of RCD Mallorca’s stadium

Following the termination of a prior sponsorship arrangement, LaLiga club RCD Mallorca have signed a new stadium naming rights contract with the Council of Mallorca. As a result of this partnership, the club’s home ground will be known as the Visit Mallorca Stadium. 

The Council has committed to providing the club with a maximum of €1.815 million (US$1.91 million) under the terms of the current agreement, which will only briefly cover the rest of the 2022–23 season. 

Along with contributions of €500,000 from the government of the Balearic Islands and €250,000 from the Palma City Council, the Council of Mallorca will add a value of €750,000 + VAT.

The agreement between the two parties stipulates that the stadium’s name be preserved for the 2022–23 campaign along with a number of rights for the team’s promotion and advertising in both the Spanish and foreign markets.

Alfonso Díaz, Business Chief Executive, RCD Mallorca, said:

“This agreement will help this 106-year-old club to have even more roots in its island, its people, its values, and our great fans. The reality is that the Real Club Deportivo Mallorca is the largest entity in terms of impact, scope and repercussion at a sporting level. And I think it is a great tool to be able to transmit all those values.

President of the Council of Mallorca, Catalina Cladera, commented:

“The institutional messages that we want will be made taking advantage of the platform that RCD Mallorca represents within LaLiga and in all the areas in which it is present. It is a pioneering agreement that represents a qualitative leap for Mallorca.
