dupreeh, Magisk, m0NESY, ropz, coldzera and chrisJ finalise moves.
The CS:GO off-season has truly taken off with Team Vitality finalising a move that had been pending for some time. The former Major-winning Astralis trio of Peter ‘dupreeh‘ Rasmussen, Emil ‘magisk‘ Reif and Donny ‘zonic‘ Sørensen have completed their moves to the French organisation.
With zonic joining as coach and the multiple Major-winning duo of dupreeh and magisk slotting in as the final pieces of the Vitality puzzle that consisted of apEX, ZywOo and misutaaa, the French organisation looks to become a super team in the sport.
Reports suggest that Vitality’s existing investor, Rewired, a venture capital firm, has invested US$56.7 million over the course of the next three years to help the organisation create a European super team.

Speaking about the new signings, Vitality’s Co-Founder and Esports Director, Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide, commented:
“This scale of talent investment has never been seen in esports before and I am honoured to be leading the charge with these rosters which have the potential to make history in Europe and beyond.
“Since the beginning of our entrance into CS:GO, we have been working with intensity to get to the top and nurture some of the best talent France has to offer. It’s now time to think internationally and create a new CS:GO culture of European talent with legacy athletes. As proven winners, dupreeh, magisk & zonic have what it takes to move us from not just being a strong contender, but the best CS:GO team in the world.”
Elsewhere, the transfer season continues to see action, with G2 having unveiled the much-anticipated signing of 16-year old prodigy and former NAVI Junior ‘m0NESY‘. The youngster will most likely replace AmaNEk, who had been with the team for the past three years but is set to be offloaded from the active roster.
G2 have also acquired the services of XTQZZZ from Vitality following the end of the 2021 season. XTQZZZ replaces maLeK, who has moved on to Evil Geniuses. G2 will be hoping to secure silverware in the upcoming season after falling short on multiple occasions in 2021, only taking home numerous second places, namely at IEM Cologne and PGL Major Stockholm. With their talisman NiKo in prime form, they will hope m0NESY helps provide the exact support their superstar needs. It is also reported that G2’s in-game leader nexa will move to OG in a swap deal that will see Aleksib go the other way for the 2022 season.
FaZe have also confirmed their roster for the upcoming season with the signing of Estonian star ropz from MOUZ. After spending more than four years with MOUZ, it was announced at the end of the 2021 season that the young star would be leaving the team and rumours circulated about his next destination.
With ropz joining the roster, FaZe’s veteran superstar olofmeister has been moved to the inactive roster. FaZe will hope ropz‘s arrival takes them back to the top of the CS:GO scene, with karrigan and ropz having already been teammates on MOUZ in 2019 and having enjoyed a successful partnership.
Two-time best player in the world and Major champion coldzera has also returned to the competitive scene after Brazilian organisation 00Nation announced the signing of the 27-year old. coldzera spent most of 2021 on FaZe’s bench before a short stint with Complexity.
MOUZ, meanwhile, have announced that their long-standing member chrisJ has been released after being with the organisation since 2013. With ropz leaving and chrisJ released, MOUZ have promoted academy player torzsi to the senior team. Although MOUZ haven’t announced the final member of the roster, which currently consists of dexter, frozen, Bymas and torzsi, it is reported that French veteran NBK will be joining the team to fill that final spot.
The CS:GO scene returns to action on the server mid-February, when the best in the world will get ready for IEM Katowice 2022.
