The Chennai Super Kings have announced a partnership with Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL).
The deal, signed ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League season, is aimed at enhancing convenience for the match-going CSK fans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, who will be allowed to travel in the metro at no additional cost.
Fans won’t need to wait in queues either, with their QR/barcoded match tickets doubling up as travel tickets. Metro services will also be extended on matchdays for an additional 90 minutes.
Regarding the partnership, KS Viswanathan, Managing Director, Chennai Super Kings, commented:
“Chennai Super Kings has always focussed on fans in every initiative we take. This initiative is a testament to the same. A similar partnership in 2023 was well received and we are confident that this season too will see plenty of Chennai Super Kings fans using the Metro services. We encourage fans to use public transport and enjoy Chennai Super Kings matches in Chepauk.“
