Formula One has unveiled British actor Damson Idris as a Global Brand Ambassador following the launch of its “All To Drive For” campaign, which Idris headlines.
As an F1 Global Brand Ambassador, the 34-year-old will work towards bridging the gap between Formula One and the world of entertainment, while also attending multiple races to support content, partner, and wider promotional activities in an attempt to bring new fans to the sport.
Idris starred in last year’s “F1 the Movie” alongside Hollywood veteran Brad Pitt.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula One, commented:

Following his starring role in F1 The Movie, which made history at the box office and helped bring our sport to new audiences, he is joining us as an official Global Brand Ambassador. With his incredible platform and position in the entertainment and lifestyle space, together we will push the boundaries of how we reach fans.”
Idris commented:

I had an enormous amount of respect for it before making the film, but getting closer to it gave me a real understanding of the innovation, the heart, and the intensity behind everything, and the elite level the drivers operate at.
