Google Pixel announce long-term partnership with the FA.
England’s football governing body, the Football Association (FA) has extended their partnership with Google Pixel, which will see Pixel work on various fan engagement content.
Pixel will join as the FA’s Official Mobile Phone and Earbuds Provider and the partnership will see Pixel use their camera and AI-powered technology to provide insight to the men’s and women’s national teams through their upcoming content series, ‘Pitchside, Presented by Pixel’. Pixel will also create fan-centred content on England’s match days.
Google will also be collaborating with England’s Lauren James, on the upcoming ‘Football on Pixel’ campaign, which aims to increase visibility of the women’s game, before the FIFA Women’s World Cup this year.
Navin Singh, Commercial Director, FA, commented,
“We’re delighted to welcome Google Pixel on board as our official mobile phone and earbuds partner. We’re passionate about connecting our supporters with our England teams, and this partnership will bring fans and players closer together through content delivered by leading technology. We thank Google Pixel for their support.”
Eileen Mannion, Vice President of Marketing at Google UK, said,
“Football is more than just a sport in the UK, it’s deeply rooted in our heritage. It’s not only part of our vibrant and diverse culture; it brings people together, generating excitement and building strong communities. Phones are such an integral part of the modern sports experience, and we’re thrilled to work with The FA to get fans closer to the action of our incredible men’s and women’s teams more than ever before.
‘Phones are such an integral part of the experience for modern fans, and we’re excited to work with the FA to make sure we’re giving them the best content, experiences and access they need to enjoy the game the way they want.”
