FanCode inks exclusive partnership with Volleyball World

In order to provide volleyball fans with access to more than 2,000 matches from the Volleyball World portfolio, FanCode, one of India’s top sports OTT platforms, has announced a two-year exclusive broadcasting arrangement with Volleyball World.

A new cooperation between the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and CVC Capital Partners, Volleyball World aims to promote volleyball growth, innovation and investment globally. Fans can now watch the action live on FanCode as part of the agreement between the two parties.

The 2023 Beach Volleyball World Championships, the 2023 and 2024 Volleyball Nations League, and the 2023 Olympic Qualification Tournaments are among the major events that will be live-streamed on FanCode.

The Beach Pro Tour event in Uberlândia, Brazil, slated to take place between April 26 and 30, will be the first competition to be streamed live on FanCode. A new event on the Beach Pro Tour will take place in Goa from October 19 to 22 later this year. This will be the tour’s first ever trip to India. The Miramar Beach in Panaji will host the event as part of a multi-year partnership. All the action will be available on FanCode.

Prasana Krishnan, Co-founder, FanCode, said:

This partnership will enable us to provide more value to our growing user base by offering access to a diverse lineup of sports. Volleyball is becoming a popular sport in India and fans can now watch marquee volleyball events from around the globe on FanCode.

Felix von Knorring, Head of Media, Volleyball World, added:

We’re delighted to be partnering with FanCode to bring the best of volleyball to Indian fans. The country has a rich history of the sport and it’s been on an upswing recently. With our collaboration, we are confident about growing the sport in the country, building a dedicated fan base, and supporting professional volleyball talent.

India is home to 56 million volleyball players, making it one of the top ten most popular sports in the nation, according to an Ormax Media evaluation. Volleyball ranks as the fourth most popular sport worldwide.
