FIFA extends AB InBev partnership days ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026

FIFA has announced a new partnership extension of their agreement with global brewer AB InBev, who takes up the role of the Official Beer Sponsor for the FIFA World Cups until 2030. The partnership will see AB InBev partner with FIFA for the FIFA World Cup 2026, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 and the FIFA World Cup 2030. The partnership extension will see both continue to partner for over 40 years and AB InBev’s brands will have extensive branding at the tournament along with hosting various unique fan engagement activities.

The upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the first-ever 48 team FIFA World Cup, and the tournament will get underway from June 11, 2026 and the final is scheduled for July 19, 2026. The tournament will be held across three countries, Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.

Gianni Infantino, President, FIFA, commented,

“We are thrilled to have extended our iconic partnership with AB InBev, the world’s leading brewer, beyond this year’s game-changing FIFA World Cup. AB InBev has helped elevate FIFA’s tournaments and events since 1986, and even before a ball has been kicked here in North America in 2026, we are delighted to confirm that it will continue to work with us during a period that will see the world unite in celebration of the centenary of the FIFA World Cup and women’s football taken to epic new heights.”

Michel Doukeris, CEO, AB InBev, said,

“The FIFA World Cup is the world’s biggest sporting event, capturing the attention of billions of fans. For 40 years our brands have been at the centre of these celebrations, reinforcing beer’s strong connection to the culture of sport. We’re excited to continue our partnership with FIFA, creating more unforgettable moments of cheers for fans everywhere.”
