FIFA announce Algorand partnership

FIFA has announced blockchain firm Algorand as its Official Blockchain Sponsor ahead of the Qatar World Cup later this year.
The partnership will see Algorand become the Official Blockchain Platform of FIFA and provide the governing body blockchain-supported wallet solutions. The deal will see Algorand serve as a Regional Supporter of the Qatar World Cup in North America and Europe along with being an Official Sponsor of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Algorand will also work with FIFA to develop its digital assets strategies, while FIFA will work to provide Algorand various sponsorship assets which will include promotional activities, media exposures and advertising.
