This massive Group A encounter of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be played between Major League Soccer club, Inter Miami and Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras on June 24th at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Inter Miami have another tough encounter after their shock 2-1 win against Portuguese giants FC Porto. Palmeiras on the other hand is also coming into this game with a 2-0 win against Egyptian champions Al Ahly.
In the Inter Miami vs Porto game, Porto scored the opener within 10 minutes when Samu Aghehowa converted a spot-kick for a penalty awarded to the Portuguese side. Inter Miami midfielder Telasco Segovia levelled the score in the 47th minute. Lionel Messi then showed everyone why he is regarded as the best in the world when he curled a 25-yard shot from a free-kick into the top right corner in the 54th minute giving his side the lead. Porto couldn’t find an equaliser and lost the game. Porto were supposed to be the favourites from this group to qualify, however they have been underwhelming so far while Inter Miami are still in with a chance to qualify.
In the Palmeiras vs Al Ahly game, the Brazilian side won comfortably against an injury-ridden Egyptian side Al Ahly. Palmeiras scored two second half goals to bag the win. The deadlock was broken in the 49th minute through an own goal by Al Ahly’s Wessam Abou Ali after a corner. José Manuel López added a second in the 59th minute from a quick counter-attacking move. The game was halted in the 62nd minute due to bad weather. The match was resumed after 48 minutes where Palmeiras held on for a comfortable 2-0 victory to become table-toppers in their group.
This particular matchup between Inter Miami and Palmeiras would be very interesting. While the Brazilian side has a higher quality side, Inter Miami would again depend on the brilliance of Messi to take them through to the Round of 16. Estevao, Richard Ríos and José Manuel López are some of the players to look out for in this game.
However, I feel Palmeiras are the ones that will win this game.
