Gravity Media strikes association with ATP Media to offer ATP Events coverage

In order to deliver international coverage of more than 60 ATP Tour tennis competitions, UK-based media services provider Gravity Media has established a partnership with ATP Media — the media and broadcast arm of the ATP Tour.

The agreement applies to the Nitto ATP Finals, the ATP Masters 1000s, the ATP 500s and the ATP 250s.

As per the agreement, Gravity Media and ATP Media are to work closely together to create exhibits and workspaces for ATP Media Studios — a media hub for innovation and technology with headquarters in Gravity Media’s new production facility in London.

As part of the partnership with Gravity Media, a broadcast truck solution connected to ATP Media Studios is also being developed. This will enable ATP Media to protect the transfer of broadcast feeds from the venue to the ATP Media Studios at Gravity Media’s Production Centre, starting with remote world supply management and advancing to remote replay operators, vision control, media management, and finally extending to completely remote court production.

Additionally, the two businesses will work together with industry partners, including Sony HDC series camera channels, EVS XT Via servers, and Calrec audio core and consoles, all of which will be placed globally and at ATP Media Studios at the Gravity Media Production Centre in London.

The goal of the deal, according to the two parties, is to create and put into action innovative solutions that offer a long-term perspective on the ATP Tour coverage.

Speaking about the development, John Newton, Gravity Media’s CEO and Founder, said:

Ensuring we will deliver the most advanced remote broadcast solutions across the ATP Media assets as well as from our brand-new media hub, Production Centre London means we are poised to lead the way in the future of tennis broadcasts. This contract will ensure the most environmentally sustainable approaches are embraced, whilst ensuring we can provide more roles to the broadcast industry welcoming and encouraging a new generation of talent to come on board with both Gravity Media and ATP Media.
