India’s star footballer, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu has extended his contract with sportswear brand Puma India. A four-year extension to the previous agreement has been signed.
With this agreement, he becomes the first Indian football player to sign with and play for one organization for close to seven years.
Gurpreet has received attention for an array of achievements, including being the first Indian to participate in a competitive match for a top-tier European team, Stabaek FC. As the first Indian to play in the UEFA Europa League, he also made history in that regard.

Talking about the agreement, Sandhu said,
“I am happy that the association with Puma has continued. They have been a great support not just for me but also for the entire sporting community. I hope our partnership inspires the younger generation to take up the sport.”
