American Formula One team Haas have announced a new partnership with Nordic financial technology company Lunar. The Denmark-based company is a regulated and independent licensed bank that has more than 500,000 users across Denmark, Norway and Sweden and is known for providing its customers with complete control over their finances on a single platform.
The agreement will put the Lunar branding on the Haas cars and their Danish driver Kevin Magnussen’s race suit.
Guenther Steiner, Team Principal of Haas F1 Team, commented:
“I’m proud to welcome Lunar to our partner portfolio. We share a lot of common traits between our two brands – primarily we’re both non-traditional in our respective industries, we’re not afraid to do things differently, be innovative in our approaches and shake things up a bit. Lunar also shares our love of speed, they want to make banking more accessible and faster for their customers.
“In Kevin Magnussen we obviously have one of the Nordic region’s leading sports personalities – his return to Haas F1 Team and his on-track performances in 2022 have naturally proved appealing to brands such as Lunar.”
Ken Villum Klausen, founder and CEO of Lunar, added:
“We’re thrilled to join forces with Haas F1 Team as they play a key role in making F1 a mainstream sport and entertainment platform for everyone. Just like Lunar is making banking, payments and investments more accessible, faster and smarter for everyone in the Nordics. At Lunar we’re beyond excited to also support Kevin Magnussen, a Nordic comeback kid with a mindset we are truly inspired by.”
