ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024: Day 6 Match Predictions

After an intense weekend filled with a host of games, we have one game scheduled for Day 6 of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup as Ireland take on Canada in New York.

With both teams coming off defeats, both will be looking to net their first win of the campaign.

Match 13: Canada vs Ireland | 20:00 IST, June 7

Ireland suffered a big loss to India in their opener as their batting unit just did not turn up in New York. Canada, meanwhile, had a better batting outing against the US but failed to defend their score of 194.

For Canada, Navneet Dhaliwal, Nicholas Kirton, and Shreyas Movva looked in fine touch with the bat, while Dilon Heyliger was economical among the bowlers as everyone else went above 8.5.

For Ireland, facing a much stronger opponent in India, there was no silver lining, especially with the bat, with only Gareth Delany’s late surge being one positive note. Mark Adair was tight with the ball on a diabolical New York pitch as the rest of the bowlers were chipped around with only 97 to defend.

Ireland are a far stronger side than the performance they put up against India. They should be expected to bounce back strongly against Canada and get off the mark.
