ICC inks New Zealand broadcast deal with Sky

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a five-year partnership agreement with Sky, which will thus broadcast all ICC men’s and women’s events in New Zealand until the end of 2028.

The agreement will see Sky broadcast a total of 16 ICC events, including the Men’s and Women’s Cricket World Cups, the Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups, the Champions Trophies, the World Test Championship Finals, and the U19 World Cups.

The partnership will kick off with the upcoming 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which gets underway in June 2024 and is being co-hosted by the US and West Indies.

Sky will broadcast all senior men’s and women’s ICC games on Sky Sports as well as live-stream them on Sky Sport Now and Sky Go.

Sky Sport will additionally broadcast the No Boundaries review show post all New Zealand games.

Geoff Allardice, Chief Executive, ICC, said:

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Sky Sport in New Zealand. With the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 taking place next month, we are delighted to add Sky to our roster of broadcast partners ahead of the biggest ICC World Cup ever. Sky Sport’s extensive reach and commitment to providing comprehensive coverage make them an ideal partner as we continue to grow the sport and engage with audiences in New Zealand.

Jonny Errington, Chief Content & Commercial Officer, Sky, added:

We know our customers value being able to watch the best of international cricket from around the world, particularly when they involve New Zealand teams in action – so it is great to be able to add another chapter to our long-standing relationship with the ICC.
