For the game, here are our preview and predictions.

Indian Premier League 2025 | Match 9: Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians | 19:30 IST, March 29

Both GT and MI lost their opening games of the season. While the Mumbai Indians lost a close match against the Chennai Super Kings, the Titans lost a high-scoring encounter against the Punjab Kings.

GT had won the toss and put the Kings to bat. Thanks to a quick-fire 47 off 23 from opener Priyansh Arya and a not-out 97 off 42 from captain Shreyas Iyer, further helped by a late blitz from Shashank Singh (44* off 16), PBKS reached a mammoth 243/5 in their 20 overs. In response, GT started well thanks to openers Sai Sudharsan (74 off 41) and Shubman Gill (33 off 14). Jos Buttler (54 off 33) and Sherfane Rutherford (46 off 28) then did their best to reach the total but fell short by 11 runs.

MI, on the other hand, were put to bat first after losing the toss against CSK. They couldn’t get going but managed a fighting total of 155/9 in their 20 overs, with Tilak Varma (31 off 25), Suryakumar Yadav (29 off 26), and Deepak Chahar (28* off 15) giving their bowlers something to fight for. Noor Ahmad (4/18) and Khaleel Ahmed (3/29) were the pick of the CSK bowlers. In response, top-order batters Rachin Ravindra (65* off 45) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (53 off 26) gave the Super Kings a superb start, but after Gaikwad’s departure their middle order collapsed, giving MI a slim chance, but Ravindra was supported ably by the experienced Ravindra Jadeja to take CSK over the line, though the game did go down to the last over.

Coming into this game, both GT and MI have great batting depth with quality bowlers. With the Ahmedabad pitch a bit on the slower side, the spinners might come into play later on.

Fantasy XI: Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Jos Buttler (wk), Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult

Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
Winners Prediction: Mumbai Indians
