Premier League champions Manchester City have announced a collaboration with North American esports organisation FaZe Clan. The partnership will see Man City team up with FaZe Clan to host a pop-up event at their home ground, the Etihad Stadium, on April 9, 2022. The event is set to feature a host of gaming activations, prize giveaways, and meet-and-greets among other activities.
The event will be FaZe Clan’s first pop-up event held outside the USA, and the collaboration will also feature new co-branded merchandise and will be attended by numerous content creators and talents from FaZe Clan and Manchester City. The following are confirmed to be making an appearance: FaZe Nate Hill, FaZe Teeqo, FaZe Swagg, FaZe JSmooth, FaZe Santana, FaZe Mew, FaZe Virus, FaZe Bizzle, and FaZe Replays, with the City talent lineup yet to be announced.
Manchester City and FaZe Clan previously collaborated back in 2019, when the two co-hosted the FaZe City Cup, a Fortnite tournament which even had City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne take part in it.
Man City have already been growing their esports division, with the Premier League heavyweights having FIFA and Fortnite players on their roster. FaZe Clan, meanwhile, most recently announced a surprise partnership with musician Snoop Dogg, who has joined the organisation as a content creator and board member.
