World No. 3 tennis player Daniil Medvedev has joined esports organisation M80 as a co-owner.
Medvedev, an avid gamer, will be “advising the organisation on esports endeavours (partnerships, growing the fan base etc.) and will also share his experience in sports psychology with M80’s different teams”.
M80 was founded in December 2022 by Marco Mereu, who is the CEO of the organisation as well. It currently has teams in Counter-Strike 2, VALORANT, Street Fighter, Rocket League, while it’s also a part of Rainbow Six: Siege‘s “R6 Share” programme.
On coming on board M80 as a co-owner, Medvedev commented:

Marco and the team have created one of the world’s most exciting esports brands, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the growth of the company and giving fans more ways to engage with M80.“
