Mumbai Indians renew Usha International partnership

Indian cricket franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) have announced a renewal of their partnership with consumer durables brand Usha International, which will thus remain an Official Partner of their women’s team.

A long-term partner of the Mumbai Indians, Usha International will continue to support their women’s team throughout the 2026 Women’s Premier League season with the shared vision of supporting women athletes and providing more opportunities for women in sports.

On the partnership renewal with Usha International, an MI spokesperson said:

We are pleased to extend our long-standing partnership with Usha International. Together, we remain committed to advancing women’s cricket and look forward to building on this shared vision in the seasons ahead. Usha has been one of our longest-standing partners across teams and we will continue to champion the growth of women’s cricket.

Komal Mehra, Head – Sports Initiatives at Usha International, added:

The league continues to inspire youth especially women through its deeper connection with the viewers. This league has played a meaningful role in creating platforms, recognising and strengthening women in sports and the front-row view of the growing participation, skill and self-confidence on and off the field is a testament to its rising stature. As a brand, we are grateful to be part of the shift that is inspiring and driving progress in women’s cricket.

The 2026 WPL season kicked off on January 9, 2026, with five franchises battling it out for the title and the final scheduled for February 5, 2026.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians kicked off their WPL 2026 campaign with a defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, but they’ve bounced back with back-to-back wins against the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Giants.
