Nike’s Savvy New Ad Mixes Inspiration and Narration

Forget about sneakers, there are a few companies who can match Nike when it comes to making innovative ad campaigns. The shoe and apparel giant’s latest ad is just the latest reminder of the company’s creative marketing.

Featuring social media star Maynor De Leon a.k.a. Thatbigguy700, the ad documents his long struggle with obesity. But far from being gloomy, the ad is instead inspirational and gives the viewers hope for Leon, who continues to work hard and slim down.

Combing vlogging with traditional filmmaking, the advertisement offers a modern approach to ad content. Nike, utilizing the acceptability that the online space provides, has once again pushed the ballot a little further.
