Premier League 2025/26 Gameweek 32: Preview and Predictions

The Premier League Gameweek 32 returns after the international break and with the title-race and relegation battles raging on, a fight for European places is also heating up.

Let’s take a look at all the preview and predictions from all the games in the upcoming Premier League weekend –

West Ham United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

West Ham’s hope of top flight survival could be strengthened by a win in this game as they could climb out of the bottom three with a victory.

Wolves on the other hand are certain of relegation and could only play for pride and spoil West Ham’s party. However, the Hammers will have to play better than their form suggests. They only have a win from their last five with two defeats and two draws. Wolves have been slightly better with two wins, two defeats and a draw. Though those two wins came against Liverpool and Aston Villa which were massive upsets against the teams from the top half.

From an injury perspective, West Ham will miss Crysensio Summerville, Jean-Clair Todibo and Lucasz Fabianski. Wolves will only be without Enso González.

Not much to choose from both teams but since the Londoners are playing at home, they have a slight edge though Wolves aren’t exactly pushovers and have few attacking players who can cause damage. West Ham will miss the pace and guile of Summerville on the left wing as he can take up defenders and create chances. However, Jarrod Bowen remains the most important player for them and most of their attacking efforts will come directly or indirectly from him. We believe West Ham will win this game though as the three points will ensure that they move out of the bottom three at least until Spurs play their fixture.

Score Prediction: West Ham 2-1 Wolves

Arsenal vs Bournemouth

After the Champions League win away in Portugal midweek, Arsenal must return their focus on the league against a tricky Bournemouth side.

The pressure of being in all four competitions started to show on the Gunners as they lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City and then bowed out of the FA Cup to Southampton in the quarter-finals in quick succession. However, their league form has been incredible as they have managed to win four on the trot after the draw against Wolves. Arsenal still has a healthy nine-point lead to City having played a game more. As for their opponents, the Cherries are unbeaten in their last five but they have played out five draws and are without a single win in their last five.

Arsenal could miss Martin Ødegaard, Piero Hincapié and Mikel Merino for this game while Bournemouth will be without Matai Akinmboni, Julio Soler, Justin Kluivert, Lewis Cook and Tyler Adams.

Arsenal has lost only one game at home this season which came against Manchester United and have been quite imperious at the Emirates. However, they are starting to look a bit nervous and under pressure and hence this could be a good opportunity for the South Coast team to hurt them. Having said that, we don’t see Bournemouth getting much from this game as they have some key players out and their own defence has been suspect, conceding poor goals. Hence, our prediction for this game would be a comfortable Arsenal win.

Score Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth

Brentford vs Everton

Both Brentford and Everton are in a great position in the league table and will be looking to move further up with the three points.

Though Brentford’s form has dipped in recent months, Everton has come through a tough fixture list with some great results. In their last five games, Everton faced Manchester United, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Arsenal and they have managed to get three wins and two defeats from their last five. Their most recent result was a convincing 3-0 home win against the Blues. As for the Bees, they are unbeaten in their last five with a win and four draws, dropping points to bottom teams like West Ham and Wolves.

Brentford’s injury list has grown recently with about five players out. Aaron Hickey, Rico Henry, Vitaly Janelt, Fabio Carvalho and Joshua Dasilva all doubtful for this game. Charly Alcaraz and Jack Grealish are the ones that will be unavailable for the Toffees.

Everton has secured some great away results this season as they have won an impressive seven away games this season so far and look the better team on form. Brentford have lost their way a bit recently but they are quite dangerous on set-pieces, something the Everton defence would have to be wary of. This could be a tight game with both teams ending on the scoresheet. We feel this would be a closely contested affair that ends in a draw.

Score Prediction: Brentford 1-1 Everton

Burnley vs Brighton and Hove Albion

The Clarets are almost assured of relegation but could spoil the party for the Seagulls who are looking to end the season on a high with European places.

Burnley’s form has remained pretty much the same throughout the season and barring a few honourable draws against few of the top teams, they have been abysmal. Brighton haven’t been able to replicate their success from the past few seasons and dropped off this season but they have found form at the right time and could be in for European places come end of season. The South Coast team has four wins and a defeat from their last five and defeated Liverpool in their last league fixture. The hosts though don’t have a single win from their last five with three defeats and two draws.

Burnley has been decimated by injuries as well, losing too many players to both long-term and short-term injuries. Axel Tuanzebe, Connor Roberts, Jordan Beyer, Hannibal Mejbri, Josh Cullen, Mike Trésor and Zeki Amdouni are all out on the sidelines with Josh Laurent suspended. As for the visitors, they will miss Adam Webster and Stefanos Tzimas with Lewis Dunk suspended.

Looking at Burnley’s form and their injury issues, Brighton seems like a really difficult opponent for them at this point. They are playing on home turf but it looks unlikely that they can secure a positive result in this game, Brighton to grab the three points comfortably.

Score Prediction: Burnley 1-3 Brighton

Liverpool vs Fulham

Liverpool’s season has only gone from bad to worse lately. The defending champions were outplayed by Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes in midweek after the humiliating defeat against Man City in the FA Cup last weekend. They must now return their focus to the league as they face Fulham and anything less than three points at home would be harmful for their Top 5 chances.

Liverpool has won two games, lost two and have a draw from their last five league games but their overall form is much worse as they have only won two games from their last eight. Fulham has a better run of form in comparison as they have won three, lost one and drawn one in their last five league encounters. Also, Liverpool’s home record hasn’t been as great as the past few seasons and therefore, Anfield hasn’t been a difficult away game this season as opposition teams believe they can nick points off the Reds.

Injuries have been a problem for Liverpool especially with a few key players out. Alisson Becker, Conor Bradley, Wataru Endo, Geovanni Leoni and Stefan Bajcetic are all out for this fixture. Fulham will miss the services of Kenny Tete and Kevin for this game.

Liverpool also has a disadvantage of tired legs as they played at the weekend and then Paris midweek while the Cottagers had a long rest as they played their last game before the international break. Liverpool vs Fulham has always been an open and entertaining fixture with goals galore. The reverse fixture at Craven Cottage was an exciting affair as well. We believe this could be a similar game which may again end in honours even.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 2-2 Fulham

Sunderland vs Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs will have to start getting back to winning ways if they don’t want to drop down to the Championship this season. However, their opponents this weekend have performed superbly at home.

The Black Cats may have lost their way since January but they are still a difficult team to beat at home. After being knocked out of the FA Cup by Port Vale, they lost to Brighton but won the bragging rights in the Tyne-Wear Derby. As for Spurs, they were knocked out in the Champions League RO16 by Atlético Madrid and do not have a single win from their last five league encounters with four defeats and a draw. If Spurs are to survive top-flight, they need to find a result here desperately.

Both teams have massive injury issues on their hands. While Sunderland will be without Daniel Ballard, Robin Roefs, Bertrand Traoré, Romaine Mundle, Jocelin Ta Bi and Nilson Angulo, Spurs will miss Yves Bissouma, Wilson Odobert, Ben Davies, Rodrigo Bentancur, Mohammed Kudus, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski for this fixture.

Sunderland has only lost three games at home this season so far while Spurs’ away record hasn’t been great in recent months. On paper, Spurs are still the stronger team but the Stadium of Light drives the Sunderland players to wins or draws from losing positions and hence we believe this is a game where the hosts hold the edge. Our prediction for this game is a Sunderland win.

Score Prediction: Sunderland 1-0 Tottenham

Chelsea vs Manchester City

This is going to be a blockbuster game which could keep alive or end the title-race.  Chelsea’s North London neighbours Arsenal would be hoping for them to find a result in their favour.

Having been knocked out of the Champions League RO16, City responded in fine fashion. The Cityzens won the Carabao Cup against Arsenal and comprehensively defeated Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final. In stark contrast, Chelsea was knocked out of the Champions League in the RO16 by PSG in humiliating manner and have also lost three out of their last five league games. The only positive result was a demolition job on Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-final but that was an expected result against a much weaker opposition.

Chelsea has also suffered due to crucial injuries this season, especially in the backline, though most of them are back. Currently, they have Jamie Gittens, Levi Colwill, Filip Jörgensen and Reese James out with injuries while Enzo Fernández is suspended. As for Man City, they will miss John Stones, Jøsko Gvardiol and Rúben Dias for this game.

Looking at the recent form for both teams, City are definitely the favourites for this one. Although Chelsea has performed well against City in recent seasons, this game feels like a tightly contested affair with the visitors to grab the three points in this one.

Score Prediction: Chelsea 1-2 Man City

Manchester United vs Leeds United

Third placed Manchester United would look to continue their quest for Champions League qualification by winning the Roses Derby this weekend.

Since United were knocked out early from the domestic cups, they had the luxury of having three weeks off with the international break in between. Their last game was played on 21st March against Bournemouth which ended in a draw. From their last five league fixtures, United have three wins, a defeat and a draw. Leeds on the other hand have not secured a win from their last five with three draws and two defeats.

Coming to injuries, the Red Devils have a lengthy injury list with Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Noussair Mazraoui, Lisandro Martinez, Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt all doubtful with Harry Maguire suspended for this fixture. Leeds on the other hand has everyone fit and the manager has a full squad to choose from.

The reverse fixture in January ended in a draw but the head-to-head record is in favour of United. Playing at home, United are certainly the favourites. However, United could struggle initially as they haven’t played a competitive game for some time while Leeds won their FA Cup fixture on penalties against the Hammers last weekend. We do have a feeling that Leeds could concede a goal as their defence has been vulnerable but they could also hurt United who are missing some key players in the backline. Hence, our prediction for this game would be a draw yet again.

Score Prediction: Man United 1-1 Leeds United
