Richard Gabriel Cyr Gasquet is a professional tennis player from France His father, Serignan, and mother, Maryse, both worked as tennis instructors and owned a neighbourhood tennis club in Béziers. This had an impact on Gasquet, who started playing at the age of 4 and was hailed as a future champion on the cover of the February 1996 edition of French Tennis Magazine when he was just 9 years old.
