Former Indian cricket team captain and ex-Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has been announced as a brand ambassador for Tripura Tourism.
The announcement was made by Tripura’s Chief Minister, Manik Saha, following a meeting between Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, other state officials, and Ganguly at his Kolkata home.
Commenting on the development, Sushanta Chowdhury of Tripura Tourism Minister said:
“Our Tripura state tourism needs a lot of promotion and proper branding to take it to the world and for that we need a popular brand ambassador who is known all over the world! Who could be a more popular personality than our beloved Dada Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, to promote Tripura’s tourism to the world?“
