Binance joins as the club’s new shirt sponsor.
Serie A side SS Lazio have announced blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider Binance as their main jersey sponsor. The Seychelles-based company, which is the largest exchange in the world in terms of daily trading volume of cryptocurrencies, has signed a two-year partnership which will see its branding on the team’s jersey and across all communication activities.
The deal also will see the Lazio Fan Token issued via the Binance Launchpad to enhance fan engagement and elevate the club’s brand even higher. Lazio become the first sports team to launch their fan token on Binance’s fan token platform. The deal is reported to be worth €30 million for two years with an option to extend for a third.
Speaking about the partnership, Lazio’s President Claudio Lotito said:
“We are very proud of this new international collaboration. This partnership with Binance will allow us to extend our digital presence and connect us with fans and followers from all over the world as never before.
“With the contribution of Binance, we will draw the Lazio global fan base even closer to the life of the Club.”
The partnership sees Lazio continue building their presence in the fintech industry after their partnership with cryptocurrency trading platform StormGain last year. That partnership saw StormGain collaborate on multiple fan engagement activities, like VIP suite hospitality, giveaways, tickets to fixtures, private tours and events at the Stadio Olimpico.
