Stake F1 Team sign Sunoco deal

Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber have announced a partnership agreement with Sunoco and its parent company, Energy Transfer.

Sunoco and Energy Transfer will use the partnership to reach out to a wider audience in the US using the Formula One platform. The Sunoco logo will be present on the Stake F1 Team race car at the Miami and Las Vegas Grands Prix as well as on the team’s driver overalls. At the United States Grand Prix in Austin, it will be the Energy Transfer logo instead of the Sunoco one on the Stake F1 car.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Team Representative, Stake F1 Team, commented:

We are delighted to welcome Sunoco and Energy Transfer onboard, as preparations are underway for the 2024 Formula One World Championship. I am first and foremost a motorsport fan, and Sunoco is a brand that elicits strong emotions for me, as it is deeply ingrained into this world. It’s a brand that is synonymous with racing, one that evokes memories of golden eras of sportscar racing and more recently, the most followed American series, NASCAR and IndyCar. It’s an honour for us to work with them during the Miami and Las Vegas Grand Prix and to welcome Energy Transfer in Austin. The U.S market is gaining more and more importance within our sport over the recent years and we are now partners with two of the most important and recognisable brands in the country.

Sandra Deiters, Vice President of Business Development, Sunoco, said:

We are pleased to join the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber family and look forward to working together this season. Sunoco has a long history of being involved with high performance motorsports, and as a brand synonymous with performance fuels, we can’t wait to bring our commitment and passion to the pinnacle of motorsport.

Vicki Granado, Vice President of Public Relations, Energy Transfer, added:

Energy Transfer is pleased to become part of the world of Formula One thanks to the partnership with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. Aligning the Energy Transfer brand with the expanding Formula One fan base in the United States and abroad is an opportunity for us to not only showcase what we do as one of the largest transporters of oil and natural gas, but to also communicate how these energy sources touch everything in our daily lives including the world of racing.
