Uber Eats extends Ligue 1 deal

Ligue 1 renews title sponsorship deal with the food delivery brand.

France’s top-flight of professional football, Ligue 1, has extended its title sponsorship deal with food delivery platform Uber Eats for an additional two years, which will see Uber Eats continue as title sponsor of the league until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Uber Eats initially became the title sponsor of Ligue 1 ahead of the 2020/21 season, with the initial deal reported to be worth €15 million per season.

The new deal sees an increase in the fee, which is now reportedly €16 million for the 2022/23 season and €17 million for the 2023/24 season.

The deal will also see Uber Eats become the title sponsor of the eLigue 1, the official professional gaming competition sanctioned by the Professional Football League (Ligue de Football Professionnel; LFP).

The deal also sees Uber Eats create content for numerous marketing campaigns and advertising spots that are broadcast during Ligue 1 matches.

LFP President, Vincent Labrune, commented:

The 2020 test has now been completed and demonstrates the attractiveness of our competition, as well as its impact in terms of audience and visibility across all of our territories.

This strengthening of our partnership with Uber Eats confirms the seriousness of the major partners of the LFP, who believe in the potential of the championship and wish to join us in its future development.

The development of our major partnership with Uber Eats will allow us to continue the ambitious project with Ligue 1, while offering many new activations for French football fans.
