West Ham United Football Club have announced a multi-year extension of their partnership with Salus, thus keeping it on board as their Official Cyber Security Partner.
As per the renewed agreement, the Cheltenham-based company will continue to protect the Hammers’ digital infrastructure, while enjoying increased visibility across their digital platforms on top of branding at London Stadium — West Ham’s home ground — via matchday LED systems.
Nathan Thompson, Executive Director at West Ham United FC, said:
“Salus has become a vital element of our digital ecosystem, and we are delighted to extend our partnership. As a Club, we take pride in our innovative approach to growth, and this partnership will allow us to further our international expansion. With Salus receiving a more visible presence at London Stadium on West Ham United matchdays through new digital LED advertising, we are excited to help them drive extensive business growth to a new global audience.“
Greg King, Sales Director at Salus, added:
“After a very successful year of supporting West Ham United’s cyber maturity roadmap through multiple workstreams, it’s very exciting to continue providing consultancy through our technical, assurance, and managed services capabilities. The last 12 months have helped forge a strong relationship of collaboration and trust between our two organisations, and we look forward to building on this foundation and further developing West Ham United’s cyber capabilities.
“Through penetration testing, NIST consultancy, data privacy enhancements, cyber training, and managed security solutions, Salus has positioned West Ham United as an early adopter of leading regulatory standards and best practices.“
Mo Ali, Director of IT at West Ham United FC, stated:
“Over the past 12 months, we have built a fantastic working relationship with Salus to assess and refine our cyber security protocols. Primarily, we needed to conduct extensive PEN Testing of our networks, and after the successful implementation of their recommendations we will also be working with them on aligning our internal policies, processes, and personnel with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), identifying and strengthening our infrastructure. Having a partner with Salus’ expertise gives me the utmost confidence that we will continue to have robust processes in place to protect us against new and emerging cyber-attacks that continue to threaten our industry.“
