Full Stack Nutrition Brand Wellversed has agreed to a sponsorship deal with Former Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and made him their brand Ambassador for their growing nutrition-based brand. Yuvraj has also acquired a stake in the company at an enterprise value of Rs 100 crore and is now the company’s biggest investor.
Yuvraj Singh’s portfolio company, Creator’s Gurukul, had helped the cricketer bag this sponsorship deal for him. Considering Yuvraj Singh’s healthy lifestyle as a sportsperson, this brand association is more than suitable as he is one of the most renowned cricketing personalities in World Cricket.
“Through my foundation and our brand YWC we always are motivated to make people’s lives better, whether it’s food or treatment. Wellversed has a very catchy name. Their products are health based. We have good synergy and together we can develop good products,” Yuvraj told the Press Trust of India.
The deal has been made for three years. This association will help Wellversed scale expansion in newer markets and help in upgrading technology and strengthening its supply chain and research and development.
Aanan Khurma, co-founder and chief executive officer, Wellversed, said, “Yuvraj Singh has high synergy with our brand in terms of the change that we aim to bring to the society at large. Having gone through his own unique journey as an elite athlete as well as a cancer survivor, Yuvraj understands the role nutrition plays in health and wellness, thereby bringing the much-needed knowledge and energy to the team.”
