Spanish multinational commercial bank and financial services company, Banco Santander, has roped in the world’s best tennis player, Rafael Nadal, as its brand ambassador.

Nadal’s association with the Banco group first began in 2014, when he was made the main face of Banco Sabadell. As per the new agreement, Nadal will represent the bank in various campaigns and events in Spain and other countries, as well as Santander Private Banking globally.

On rejoining the brand, Rafa Nadal said, “I’m very happy to come back to the Santander family and become its ambassador. It is very exciting to share again their winning spirit and the values of daily effort and willingness to fight for every point to achieve the goals we set. And, of course, to show that how we achieve our goals is as important as reaching them.”

Ana Botín, Banco Santander Group Executive Chairman, said, “Nadal is coming home. He is one of the best athletes in the world and the best Spanish athlete in history, but he has also something that for me is the most important thing: he has got values that we share at Santander.”
