Hull City Association Football Club have announced a partnership with Swiffy, a South African financial technology and payment processing company.

The partnership will see Swiffy work with the English club to make their payments “simpler, faster, and more accessible”.

The two parties will also work on digital content and in-stadium activity at the Tigers’ home ground, the MKM Stadium, with Hull City aiming to use the partnership to reach out to wider audiences in Africa.

Joe Clutterbrook, Chief Operating Officer at Hull City AFC, commented:

“We’re really pleased to welcome Swiffy to the Hull City family.

“Swiffy is a business with a clear understanding of the African market and a strong focus on making digital payments work better for its customers. There’s a natural alignment between their ambition to connect businesses and customers across the continent and our own ambition to connect Hull City with supporters around the world.”

Jadie Naicker, Christian Di Zio and Neil Schwartzman, Co-founders of Swiffy, released the following joint statement on the matter:

“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Hull City at such an exciting moment in the Club’s history. Their return to the Premier League represents ambition, resilience and the determination to compete at the highest level. Qualities that strongly resonate with the journey we’ve been on building Swiffy.

“For us, this partnership brings together two ambitious organisations with a shared drive to grow. The Premier League has an extraordinary following in Africa, and partnering with Hull City gives Swiffy a powerful platform to build our brand, showcase African fintech on a global stage and introduce Swiffy to new audiences.

“We’re excited to be part of Hull City’s journey back in the Premier League and look forward to building a partnership that extends well beyond this season.”
