Release date for "Federer: Twelve Final Days" out

Amazon Prime Video’s documentary about tennis icon Roger Federer’s final 12 days of his career, titled Federer: Twelve Final Days, now has an official release date and Prime Video also released a teaser for the feature-length documentary. 

Directed by Academy Award-winning director Asif Kapadia and Joe Sabia, the documentary gives fans a never-seen-before look at Federer and the final days of one of tennis’ most decorated careers.

The documentary also features interviews from Federer’s rivals and peers, including Rafael Nadal, Sir Andy Murray, and Novak Djokovic.

The documentary will be released on June 20, 2024, and premiered in more than 240 countries worldwide, available for viewing on Prime Video.

Federer spoke about the documentary earlier, stating:

During my career, I tended to shy away from having cameras around me and my family, especially during important moments. But I didn’t see the harm in shooting this as it was never intended for the public. However, we captured so many powerful moments, and it transformed into a deeply personal journey.

After parting ways with Seiko in January 2021, Novak Djokovic stayed without a watch sponsor for almost eight months before joining forces with Hublot in August 2021.  Hublot stood by Novak even after his deportation from Australia. Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe expressed his and the brand’s stance on the situation:  "We are waiting to see what his position is with regards to all that he went through," he said in an interview.  "The principle of vaccines is that it's something private. We value personal freedom. Everybody can decide. One can be in favour or against. That is our position."
