AFC Bournemouth inks new partnership with Thatchers Cider

English football club AFC Bournemouth has announced a new three-year partnership agreement with cider producer Thatchers Cider. The partnership will see Thatchers Cider become Bournemouth’s Official Cider Supplier and will see Thatchers products present at Bournemouth’s home stadium, the Vitality Stadium. Thatchers Cider will provide their products like the Thatchers Gold which will be the centre of attraction at the Vitality Stadium along with Thatchers Zero as well, providing fans with a non-alcoholic option as well. Both will also work together on various fan engagement activities.

Rob Mitchell, Commercial Director, AFC Bournemouth, commented,

We’re delighted to welcome Thatchers to the club and begin what we believe will be a fantastic partnership. As a family-run business with an outstanding reputation and strong South West heritage, Thatchers is a natural fit for AFC Bournemouth. We’re always looking to work with partners who align with our values and can help elevate the supporter experience, and we’re excited to see that come to life over the next three years.”

Paul Fudge, Vice President of Business and Hospitality, AFC Bournemouth, said,

“This partnership allows us to further strengthen our food and beverage offering by introducing one of the country’s best-known cider brands to supporters and hospitality guests. Thatchers is renowned for its quality, and with both Thatchers Gold and Thatchers Zero available, we’re pleased to be expanding the choice available to fans at Vitality Stadium.”

Martin Thatcher, Cider Maker at Thatchers, added,

“It’s a privilege to become the club’s first-ever official cider partner in its history. With our roots firmly in the South West, there’s something special about joining forces with a club that means so much to its community and supporters. We’re looking forward to raising a glass of Gold, to celebrate keeping the AFC Bournemouth fans refreshed throughout the season ahead and adding to the occasion of the match day experience.”
