Alfa Romeo get new Technical Director

Swiss Formula One team Alfa Romeo have announced that James Key will be replacing Jan Monchaux as their new Technical Director, starting September 1, 2023.

This is Key’s first major role since his departure from McLaren earlier this year, when he left his role as the Woking-based team’s Technical Director.

Key returns to the Hinwil-based team, with whom he had previously been with between 2010 and 2012 as Technical Director. An experienced personnel, Key has been with a host of teams, including Jordan Grand Prix, Sauber, Toro Rosso and McLaren.

I also want to thank Jan for his precious contribution to taking Sauber to where it is now, following our most successful season in a decade, in which we climbed to sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship.“

James Key said:
