Alfa Romeo team up with MindMaze

Swiss Formula One team Alfa Romeo have announced a new partnership with MindMaze, a neuro-technology development company.

As per the deal, MindMaze will use its brain technology platform to bring together advanced neuro-science, state-of-the-art technology and engineering and improve human performance and safety in motorsport. The partnership will also include a holistic research to assess both the car and driver, while the brain technology platform will monitor driver performance through brain data both on and off the track.

MindMaze recently gave a glimpse of brain technology and motorsport at the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, where it served as a Founding Partner.

Tej Tadi, CEO, MindMaze, commented:

We are delighted to be working closely with the Alfa Romeo F1 team to expand our partnership. Human performance is tested to the maximum in F1, which is why the research we are conducting with team ORLEN is so important. Our goal is not only to generate and study data that benefit human performance in motorsport, but also to inform the future of innovation for universal safety features across the entire automotive industry.

Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal of Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN, said:

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do in Formula One, so I’m proud to welcome MindMaze as a neurotechnology pioneer to our partner family. It is a company that has shown its research has real-world benefits, and I’m looking forward to combining our deep technical competencies to see what insights we can unlock together.

The partnership with Alfa Romeo will see MindMaze have its logo featured on the helmets of the Alfa Romeo drivers.

Apart from Formula One, MindMaze has been steadily growing its portfolio in motorsport, having partnered with Andretti Autosport in the INDYCAR series, with former Formula One driver Romain Grosjean serving the company as a brain health ambassador. MindMaze has previously had Formula One partnerships with McLaren Racing and Haas.
