Alpine joins forces with Espire Education’s STEM On Track

Alpine teams up with STEM on Track project

French Formula One team Alpine has announced a new partnership with educational consultancy Espire Education’s STEM On Track project, who will join the team as a National Partner. Both will work together towards a shared commitment to ‘diversity, equity and inclusion.

STEM On Track was launched in September 2024 and provides students a platform to  build their own racing kart, apply real-world STEM concepts, and compete in the National Finals against schools across the nation. The agreement will also see them celebrate British Science Week’s theme – “Change and Adapt” with schools given the chance to design a kart livery inspired by adaptation and innovation in motorsport and STEM, which will be then judged by Alpine and the winning school will get a fully funded place on the programme.

Oliver Oakes, Team Principal, BWT Alpine Formula One Team, commented,

“We are proud to be joining STEM On Track as its National Partner and to be playing an active role in the promotion of STEM subjects at a grassroots level and to invest in the future minds of motorsport. The goal of the initiative aligns with our team’s own D&I strategy in utilising outreach as a lever for change with support for programmes such as STEM on Track from partners such as BWT Alpine Formula One Team providing opportunities for learning that may otherwise be limited.”

Adam Sirett, Co-Founder, STEM On Track, added,

“For students who once struggled with Maths, suddenly calculating ratios through the gears and learning about energy transfer through karting is a game changer. STEM should be exciting, messy and full of discovery, just like motorsport. With support from the BWT Alpine Formula One Team we can bring this experience to even more students.”
