BWT Alpine F1 Team have signed a partnership agreement with Mercedes, which will see them use the latter’s power units (PU) from 2026 until the end of the 2030 Formula One season.
Starting with the 2026 F1 season, the French outfit will also use Mercedes gearboxes.
The announcement comes shortly after Alpine F1 announcing the closing-down of their works engine programme at the end of the 2025 season in alignment with the “Alpine Hypertech” project.
Next year, Alpine will continue using their own PUs before moving to the Mercedes PUs when the new regulations come in the year after.
