Amul teams up with Argentina national football team

Indian dairy giant Amul has been roped in as a Regional Sponsor of the Argentina men’s football team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

For the Argentina national team, this is the first Regional Sponsorship agreement in the country. It is an equally monumental deal for the dairy firm. 

Amul celebrated the announcement with a topical which paid tribute to Argentina captain Lionel Messi and named it “Masska for Messi”.

Jayen Mehta, COO, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, commented:

Amul is proud to announce its association with the Argentina Football Association (AFA).

Claudio Fabian Tapia, President, Argentina Football Association (AFA), added:

We are happy to have Amul being AFA’s first regional sponsor in India.

The Lionel Messi-led team, who are in Group C, will kick off their World Cup campaign against Saudi Arabia on November 22 and will face Mexico on November 27 and Poland on December 1.
