Andrey Rublev: Brand endorsements

Andrey Rublev is a Russian professional tennis player. With 14 ATP singles titles, including an ATP 1000 title in Monte Carlo this year, Rublev has emerged as one of the new breed of young and exciting talents to break into the upper echelons of men’s tennis.

The 26-year-old is yet to win a Grand Slam, with quarterfinals having proved to be his ceiling to date. With age on his side and a bag full of talent, however, Rublev is sure to be making headlines for many years to come. 

In this article, we look at some of Rublev’s brand endorsement and sponsorship deals. 

CURRENT DEALS

Head

American-Austrian tennis racquet company Head signed a multi-year partnership agreement with Rublev in April 2021.

As per the terms of the deal, Head serves as Rublev’s clothing and apparel sponsor. 

Bulgari (BVLGARI)

Known for its jewellery, watches, fragrances and accessories, Bulgari is an Italian luxury fashion house founded in 1884 and headquartered in Rome. In June 2021, it roped in Rublev as a brand ambassador. 

Penhaligon’s

British perfume house Penhaligon’s roped in Rublev as a brand ambassador in December 2021 on a multi-year deal, reportedly.

Nike

American sportswear and sports equipment manufacturer Nike signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Rublev in April 2019, becoming his clothing and footwear sponsor in the process.

As part of Nike’s massive cut in sponsorship roster ahead of 2023, Rublev was let go by the American company, though he is still seen wearing Nike footwear during his ATP tour matches. 

4Slam Tennis Academy

Rublev also has a partnership deal in place with 4Slam Tennis Academy, which is situated in Barcelona and was founded by the three tennis players — Fernando Vicente (Rublev’s current coach and top 30 ATP in singles), Jairo Velasco (top 50 ATP in doubles) and Galo Blanco (top 40 ATP in singles).

PAST DEALS

Wilson

Rublev used to have a racquet deal with Wilson, one of the leading tennis racquet manufacturers in the world. He used the Wilson Six-One 95.

Rublev also used to be associated with IMG, a tennis training academy that is home to the world’s top ATP and WTA players.
