Indian MMA fighter Asha Roka has been announced as a Digital Ambassador of Indian lifestyle brand Motherland.
The announcement was made alongside the launch of Motherland’s “Made in India” collection, which brought together minimalist design with a contemporary expression of Indian identity.
Motherland states that Roka “represents a contemporary expression of Indian ambition built around discipline, persistence and breaking into spaces where Indian representation continues to grow.”
Motherland will look to capture the intensity and physicality of the sport through Roka, with the “Made in India” collection comprising polos, T-shirts, 70s-inspired ringer tees, crop T-shirts, and tank tops across unisex and women’s fits.
On teaming up with Motherland, Asha Roka commented:
“I’ve always felt that representing India is about more than where you come from. It’s also about what you choose to do with your journey and how you carry that identity with you. That’s what connected me to Motherland and this collection. The designs are simple but they have a strong presence, and that feels very close to how I approach my own work; stay true to who you are and let that speak for itself.”
