Atlético Madrid rope in Avis as official sponsor

Spanish professional football club Atlético Madrid have signed a new sponsorship deal with American car rental company Avis. As part of the agreement, Avis has been named an official sponsor of the club for the next three years.

Avis is a supplier of rental cars to the commercial sector, catering to both leisure passengers off-airport and business travellers at international hub airports. As opposed to most airport facilities, which are typically company-owned and operated, many of the off-airport outlets are franchised businesses.

As per the deal, Avis will provide Atlético Madrid with a range of services, including adaptable and environment-friendly travel options on both national and international levels. Avis branding will be visible at the Atleti home ground, the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium. The two parties will also collaborate on creative projects to provide customers and football fans with one-of-a-kind experiences.

Speaking on their association with Avis, Atlético Madrid CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, said:

“With collaboration with a company like AVIS, a leader in the sector that seeks excellence in its services, as well as providing its clients with the best experience in the car rental. We thank AVIS for the opportunity that gives us and we welcome them to the Red & White family.”

Francisco Farrás, General Manager of AVIS Budget Group for Spain and Portugal, said:

This agreement represents a historic milestone for AVIS in Spain. It is an honour to sponsor Atlético de Madrid, a club that represents the most important values ??of sport: passion, commitment, and team spirit.”
