Aurelia Nobels has joined the F1 Academy grid for the 2024 season, having signed for ART Grand Prix.
Nobels made her debut at the 2022 Formula 4 Brazilian Championship and has raced in the Spanish and Danish F4 series as well. The 17-year-old Brazilian-Belgian racer won the “FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars” programme in the “Senior” category. In 2023, she raced in the Italian F4 and Euro 4 Championships.
The Ferrari Driver Academy member will be racing in a PUMA-liveried car during the upcoming F1 Academy season.
Speaking about joining ART Grand Prix, Nobels commented:
“I am honoured to join ART Grand Prix this year. F1 Academy is an important milestone in my career and I am determined to give my best. I will be one of the youngest drivers on the track and it will give me extra motivation to succeed. I thank all those who made this project possible.“
Sebastien Philippe, Team Principal, ART Grand Prix, said:
“Aurelia is still very young but she has shown her determination by evolving on several continents and by adapting to the European system. This winter, she followed a preparation in F4 EAU that will allow her to’ arrive at the top of her form from the beginning of the F1 Academy. The walk is high, but it’s the kind of challenge that ART Grand Prix likes to take on to help young drivers build their careers.“
