Cryptocurrency brand joins the club as their Official Crypto-Exchange Partner.
Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC have announced a one-year deal with cryptocurrency exchange brand ZebPay. The deal will see ZebPay become the Official Crypto-Exchange Partner of the Bengaluru franchise.
Speaking about the partnership, Bengaluru FC CEO, Mandar Tamhane, commented:
“We’re very excited to partner with ZebPay, who are one of the leading brands in the cryptocurrency exchange industry. They are a brand that is growing fast, and that two of three Indians bought their first bitcoin on ZebPay shows that they are very popular. We’re looking forward to seeing this association grow over the course of the season.”
Avinash Shekhar, Co-CEO, ZebPay, added:
“This partnership with Bengaluru FC enables us to educate sports enthusiasts of the world about the value of crypto. India’s affinity to football has been steadily rising in the past few years, and we are hoping to educate and create awareness about crypto amongst Indian sports enthusiasts. We extend our best wishes to members of Bengaluru FC and will be cheering for the team from the sidelines while bringing crypto to the mainstream.”
Raj Karkara, Chief Marketing Officer, stated:
“We want to advise Indians to learn and understand crypto’s disclaimers and risks before taking any investment decisions. Not going by what others say and ‘DYORing (Doing Your Own Research) is crucial to understand this new asset class better. That is why we feel that a passionate sport like football is the perfect place to connect with the audience and use this crypto momentum to create a positive change.”
Founded in 2014, ZebPay currently enjoys a presence in more than 160 countries around the world with over five million users and US$10bn in fiat transactions.
