BLAST Premier announces record 35 broadcast deals

BLAST Premier will now be shown in over 25 languages across 130 territories.

Esports organisation BLAST Premier has announced a record 35 global media rights deal which will see the esports tournaments in 2022 broadcast in more than 130 TV territories and available in 25 languages.

The partnership will see some of the world’s leading TV networks and online platforms broadcast BLAST Premier’s tournament in all major esports regions: from North America, Latin America Asia, the Nordic and CIS among others.

The expansion of BLAST’s broadcast portfolio also sees renewal of some existing partners such as TV2 (Denmark), TV network Astro (Asia), OTT service StarTimes (Africa), streamer Gaules (Brazil) and online service WePlay (Russia).

Alexander Lewin, VP of Distribution and Programming, BLAST Premier, commented:

We are delighted to start the 2022 season with the widest distribution in our history. Blast Premier has been on a path of rapid growth since inception two years ago and is now available in over 25 languages worldwide.

We are thrilled to extend our relationship with the vast majority of our existing licensees as well as welcome so many new partners to the Blast family.

One of the most prominent esports events in the world, BLAST saw a record 59.37 million hours watched in 2021 — a 30% rise from the numbers in 2020.

As one of the leading Counter-Strike tournament series, BLAST’s partnerships have seen the tournament reach out to newer regions such as the Caribbean, Canada, Estonia, Iceland, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Kosovo, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
