BLAST enters FIFA esports.
Esports tournament organiser BLAST has announced that it has entered the world of FIFA esports following its previous announcement of producing the 2021/22 ePremier League season.
The ePremier League will see all 20 football clubs in the Premier League participate, and the competition will have a prize pool of £100,000.
The upcoming edition of the ePremier League will see BLAST create a new online format, with the grand finals scheduled to be held on a live event in March 2022. The tournament will kick off from February and run till the end of March, when the grand finals are scheduled to take place on March 26 and 27. Players from each club will compete for the league’s £100,000 prize pool, which is split across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S divisions.
Leo Matlock, MD of Development, BLAST, commented:
“We’re thrilled to team up with the world’s most renowned football league, and help them create, develop and deliver this season’s ePremier League. We’re excited at the prospect of engaging with fans from all 20 clubs as they compete to represent their favourite team at the live Grand Finals.”
Generally known for organising CS:GO tournaments and other events in esports such as DotA 2, VALORANT, Apex Legends and Fortnite, BLAST is now expanding its portfolio through FIFA 22.
