FAST

McGregor started his own fitness program app called “FAST” in 2021. He uses the fitness regime offered by the app, which also allows fans to participate in it for their own training. 

The app made approximately US$5 million in revenue in 2021. 

August McGregor

Together with A-list designer David Heil, who has worked with celebrities like Kobe Bryant, Canelo Álvarez, Brad Pitt, Bruce Springsteen and Elon Musk, McGregor developed his lifestyle and clothing collection called “August McGregor” in 2018.

The clothing brand’s menswear has made around US$50 million in profits. 

The MAC Life

McGregor has 1.2 million YouTube followers through his own media channel called “The MAC Life”. MMA, sports, health & fitness and McGregor himself are all covered in separate parts on the website.  

Each video receives thousands of dollars in advertising income and six figures in views.

Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey

McGregor launched the Irish whiskey brand in Ireland and the US in September 2018. It is named after the neighbourhood McGregor grew up in: Crumlin, Dublin 12. 

In April 2021, McGregor and his partners sold their stake in the whiskey brand to Proximo Spirits, a Jersey City-headquartered American liquor importer and international distributor which already held a 49% stake in the brand, for reportedly US$600m.           

McGregor also owns a pub in Dublin called the Black Forge Inn.     

TIDL Sports

McGregor debuted TIDL Sports, his new business, prior to his return to MMA in January 2021. The Irishman is known for his “tenacity, intensity, dedication, and lifestyle”, which he used to describe his post-workout recuperation regimen. 

The cornerstone of TIDL Sports is plant-based treatment paired with tried-and-true exercise science processes to provide athletes with quick relief and lasting recovery.

Endorsements

Reebok

After signing a six-fight comeback deal with UFC in 2018, McGregor also renewed his partnership with American fitness and sportswear brand Reebok. 

Reebok added McGregor to its athletes roster in 2015. In 2018, McGregor renewed his sponsorship deal with Reebok, through which he reportedly makes around US$5 million every year.

Burger King

In March 2018, McGregor inked a contract with Burger King, making him the restaurant chain’s brand ambassador. 

Burger King released a commercial to advertise the collaboration. The ad shows McGregor relaxing on a private plane with the brand’s mascot. In order to publicise the affiliation, McGregor also shared a photo on his social media accounts.

Tiger.Trade

In September 2022, Swiss trading firm Tiger.Trade brought McGregor on board as a brand ambassador. 

The primary goal of this collaboration is to increase Tiger.Trade’s brand awareness as the firm adds its fintech solutions for experienced professionals and casual retail customers.

Beats by Dre

McGregor became a Beats by Dre athlete in May 2017 through a personal endorsement deal with the California-headquartered American consumer audio products manufacturer.

EA Sports

EA Sports first partnered with McGregor in 2014. In 2017, he was announced as the cover fighter for EA Sports UFC 3, which was released on February 2, 2018. 

UFC, with EA Sports, launched a video after signing McGregor as a video game fighter in 2014 to showcase his skills, stats and capabilities. 

Dystopia: Contest of Heroes

Dystopia: Contest of Heroes is a team-based real-time strategy game released in 2021, in which McGregor features as one of the playable characters.. 

The multi-million-dollar deal was made to help the game reach a wider audience through one of the most popular UFC fighters in the world. 

XTB

XTB, an international fintech startup founded in 2002, signed a two-year partnership with McGregor in September 2022.

This arrangement was made in order for XTB to promote the trading and investment services it offers. 

Notable charity work

  • In March 2020, McGregor’s Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey donated US$1 Million to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation – an organisation that supports and honours first responders in America. Via his whiskey brand, McGregor remains a constant supporter of first responders around the world, with US$5 going towards local organisation for every whiskey case sold.
  • In December 2020, he stepped in to save his local Straight Blast Gym – SBG Portarlington in County Laois, Ireland – from closing down. The establishment faced a shutdown because of financial troubles heaped upon by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • In May 2019, McGregor announced that he was building eight properties in Dublin for the homeless. In April 2020, he announced that the properties were ready to be moved in.
  • In 2020, he donated over €1.5m worth of medical supplies to hospitals in his native Ireland as the country battled the coronavirus pandemic.
  • In August 2020, via his company, McGregor Sports and Entertainment, McGregor made a significant investment into Lourdes Celtic Football Club, whose youth ranks he played for as a kid. Apart from investing into infrastructure, McGregor Sports and Entertainment also became the club’s front-of-shirt sponsors for their matchday kits.
  • In April 2021, McGregor donated US$500k to the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana – a charity in Louisiana. This came on the back of a spat between the Irishman and Dustin Poirier, whose Good Fight Foundation the former had pledged to make the donation to.
  • In June 2022, McGregor donated €10,000 to teenage Irish MMA fighters, Ballycanew twins Adam and Dylan Duffy, to fund their Abu Dhabi World Championship trip.
