The Indian Premier League is scheduled to take place between 19 September 2020 and 10 November 2020. Ahead of the new season, the IPL Governing Council, BCCI, appoimted CRED as its Official Partner on Tuesday. CRED is a digital community of creditworthy individuals, merchants, and institutions. Founded by Kunal Shah in 2018, CRED allows users to pay credit card bills through its application and rewards them for every bill paid.

“IPL is one of the top sporting events not just in India, but the world, and we are delighted to have a brand as unique and innovative as Cred partner is. I am sure more people across the country will take notice of them as we embark on this exciting journey,” said Brijesh Patel, chairman, IPL.

The company has decided to come up with a variety of exciting offers for its customers. If a customer pays credit card bills during the Power Play overs, one lucky user can win a 100% cashback. Kunal said, “As much as cricket is about discipline and strategy, it’s also a rewarding experience for players and viewers. By making credit card bill payments equally delightful, we are incentivizing every credit card-holder watching the matches to make digital payments, clear debt, and improve their credit scores.”

Adding more excitement to it, they will also have a player of the match reward at the end of every match. The person who has paid the highest amount during the game or the 100th bill payer will be rewarded with a ?1 Lakh prize. The ceremony will take place through video conferencing.
Apart from this, customers will be rewarded with many offers in association with brands such as OnePlus, Myntra, Ajio, Puma, Lalit Hotels, Tata Cliq, JioSaavn, Audible, CureFit, Dineout, Syska, Samsung, Motorola, RBL (Reliance Brands), Hugo Boss, JioSaavn and WROGN.
