A well-rounded performance from India saw them take the lead in the third T20I in Indore and Shreyas Iyer’s boys will be looking to seal the series in Hyderabad to pick up another home series win. Shai Hope’s West Indies meanwhile will be looking to keep themselves alive as the series moves to the deciding game for the fourth T20I.

Ahead of the fourth T20I between India and West Indies, here’s our match preview and predictions.

IND v WI 2026 | 4th T20I | 19:00 IST, October 14, 2026

The Indian batting unit, filled with explosive batting stars, continued to do what they do best as they went hard right from the get go. Sanju Samson’s inconsistency was back but losing his opening partner early did not bother Abhishek Sharma. Sharma smashed 69 from 30 balls to give India the perfect start along with a quick-fire 37 from Ishan Kishan. The middle and lower order were finally put in earlier than they have been in the series and the likes of Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Axar Patel also got handy contributions that saw India post an above average 223. The senior seamer in the squad, Arshdeep Singh took out the dangerous Shai Hope early and despite a promising partnership early on for the second wicket, the Indian bowlers kept a check on the West Indian batters with the slower bowlers and Nitish Kumar Reddy getting the job done.

The visitors, West Indies once again struggled with the ball after opting to bowl as they had no answer for Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan but it was Roston Chase who continued to stand-out for West Indies with Chase with the new ball providing breakthroughs and keeping a lid on the scoring. Captain Shai Hope though, will expect more from his bowlers as the lengths they have been bowling have been easily punished. The inclusion of Gudakesh Motie was a promising one with the left-arm spinner impressing in Indore. Their star batter this series, Shai Hope had an off day which mean the rest of the batters had to step up and while the likes of Kamil Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford and Quentin Sampson got starts, none were able to convert it into a big score and see the chase home. West Indies have plenty of experience and firepower in the middle order with the likes of Hetmyer, Rovman Powell and Rutherford and Hope will expect more from his batters.

The Hyderabad strip is one of India’s highest scoring grounds with the ground regularly seeing scores of 200+ every IPL season. Two strong batting sides means that we should expect another high-scoring game with the bowlers set to decide the game and India’s bowling depth and variety gives them the edge to not only win the match but seal the series also.

Fantasy XI: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma (c), Shai Hope (wk), Roston Chase, Ishan Kishan (vc), Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Shamar Joseph

Venue: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad

Winners Prediction: India
