Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced a partnership agreement with sport technology platform LootMogul.
Aimed towards digital innovation in sports, the partnership will see CSA “bring a new dimension to the game”. Fans will be provided with virtual experiences and engagement opportunities beyond the matches. They will be able to explore virtual replicas of iconic stadiums and also interact with their favourite players.
The deal will officially kick off on December 10, which is also when the India senior men’s national cricket team’s tour of South Africa commences.
Pholetsi Moseki, Chief Executive Officer, CSA, commented:
“This is a leap into the future of cricket. It is not just about enhancing the game; it is about revolutionising the fan experience. By leveraging advanced technologies like digital twins and immersive gaming, we are pioneering a new chapter in cricket, offering our fans around the globe unprecedented ways to engage with their favourite sport.“
Raj Rajkotia, CEO and Founder, LootMogul, added:
“We are thrilled to partner with Cricket South Africa, one of the premier nations in the Cricket world, with our digitalised real-world assets and gaming strategy; we aim to enhance global fan and brand engagement while creating a whole new revenue stream for all stakeholders. This is a game-changing partnership with CSA.“
