The Spanish shot-stopper launches his own organisation — Rebels Gaming.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has taken his first steps into the world of eSports as he has launched his own eSports organisation — Rebels Gaming. The organisation will initially compete in League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege and VALORANT.
Based out of Valdebebas, Madrid, where it will have its own training centre, Rebels Gaming will also sport its own streamers and in-house content creators. It already has former professional Rainbow Six Siege player Yeray ‘DriD‘ González and Alvar “Araneae” Martín on board, with the latter announced as Rebels Gaming’s Official Esports Director.

Speaking about the launch of his organisation, De Gea said:

De Gea isn’t the first footballer to delve into the eSports industry, with his teammate Jesse Lingard already owning JLINGZ, Sergio Agüero having his own organisation in KRÜ Esports, and Harry Maguire currently serving as a brand ambassador for UK-based eSports organisation, Semper Fortis Esports.
